On Sunday, June 26, the 17th Annual National University Kyudo Championship
Tournament was held in Tokyo.
The RU Men's Kyudo (Japanese Archery) Team captured first place while
the RU Women's Kyudo Team came in second. Fifty-one university teams participated
in the men's competition and 46 in the women's. In the finals, the RU
men's team defeated Nihon University 9 to 5 to capture their first national
victory.
The women's team lost in the finals to Kinki University. The final
score was 5 to 6. |

180 Universities competed in the 50th All-Japan Students' Kyudo Competition
from August 4-6, held at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium.
In the men's, Rits took second place in target, as well as "kata"(shado). |
Women's Rits took second place in target,in the 48th All-Japan 2000.
